- +0.03 Orientation variety bonus (mixing V and H aisles)
- +0.02 Rotation variety bonus (mixing standard and rotated pallets)
Layout Types
- 1-row: Single row of blocks across the full height
- 2-row: Top and bottom rows separated by a cross-aisle
Algorithm
- Population: 500, Generations: 2000, Mutation rate: 0.35
- Tournament selection with fitness sharing (niche preservation)
- Multi-niche elitism (best 1-row, 2-row, few-block, many-block)
- Diversity injection (min 20% per layout type)
- Block orientations: V (vertical aisles) or H (horizontal aisles)
